COME, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING

Come, Let Me Tell You Something is a collection of eleven intricately interwoven stories, passed down through different eras and generations.
The journey begins with Danica, a woman gifted with the power of prophecy, who chooses to devote her life to caring for others rather than seeking her own happiness. Her path is marked by the judgement and misunderstanding of the community around her.
Danica’s daughter, Gemma, inherits both the gift and a life fraught with challenges. The stories continue with Nora, Gemma’s adventurous granddaughter, who travels the world with her partner Ben, encountering strange and supernatural phenomena that blur the line between the real and the unreal, while also confronting her own ancestral legacy. Throughout her travels, Nora is guided by two mentors: her grandmother Gemma, still living, and her great-grandmother Danica, who offers wisdom from the other side. Their journeys lead Nora and Ben to places steeped in history, legend, and mystery, where reason and the mystical often collide. Encounters with sacred snakes appearing annually in a church in Kefalonia, the enigmatic Pokaini Forest in Latvia, a haunted bridge in Scotland, and the ancient temples of Malta are not only pivotal to the plot but also mirror the characters’ inner transformations.
The collection explores themes of loss, inheritance, inner strength, and the tension between fate and free will.
Nora’s journey becomes a bridge between the real and the otherworldly, the past and the future. Through these stories, and the guiding voice of her great-grandmother, Nora is ultimately reconnected to her roots and her own deeper self.

Author: Ivana Miletić

Welcome to my Blog. My name is Ivana Miletić. I’m a photographer and author, drawn to stories that live beneath the surface. I capture moments through the lens, but also through words, always searching for what people hide, feel, and reveal without saying much. In 2015, I was awarded the honorary title AFIAP (Artist of the International Federation of Photographic Art). I have participated in numerous national and international photography salons, receiving several awards and recognitions along the way. Writing has been my long-time form of expression and inner exploration. In my work, I explore emotions, intuition, the psychology of relationships, and the way people react when life pushes them into unexpected situations. I often blend the rational with the intuitive, creating an atmosphere where truth is uncovered slowly, in silence, in details, in what remains unsaid. My short story collection Dođi da ti nešto kažem (2025) was also published in English under the title Come, Let Me Tell You Something, and my novel Nestao strani državljanin is my second book.
